What others can't
The first app that sends custom film recipes to a Fujifilm camera wirelessly. That is the short version. Here is the long one: everything Huginn did first, and what no other Fujifilm app does yet.
Being first is a fact about history: each of these carries the day we did it, and that date never changes. Being the only one is a fact about today, so those carry the day we last checked the field, and the day somebody else ships one, that half comes off the card.

We did each of these first. Where a card says exclusive, no other app does it on a Fujifilm as of September 22, 2026, the last day we checked the field by hand. Being first does not change. Being the only one can.
- Send a recipe to your camera with no cable.
Huginn was the first app to put a recipe on a Fujifilm without a cable. It does it with the camera switched off in your bag, so tomorrow's looks are already loaded before you take it out.

Other apps can write a set of recipes into the slots, but you have to plug the camera in. Huginn writes a whole Film Palette into C1 through C7 in one pass, wirelessly.

Fujifilm's own app backs up the entire camera, so restoring a single look means restoring everything else with it. Huginn keeps your slots individually, and gives one back without touching the rest.

Other remotes can change the film simulation, which is one setting out of a dozen. Huginn changes the whole recipe: the simulation, the white balance, the tone, the grain, all of it, without touching the camera.

Single frame, burst CH, burst CL, HDR and film simulation bracket, chosen from your phone. Fujifilm's own XApp only switches between stills and video. No other app does this at all.

Fujifilm's own XApp can do this only after handing the camera over to Wi-Fi: you leave the app, join the camera's own network, and watch the battery go. Huginn changes them over Bluetooth, on the same screen as the shutter, with the connection you already have.

On the current sensor generation, warm-cool and magenta-green toning is the one part of a black-and-white recipe every other app leaves you to dial in on the camera yourself, every time you switch looks. Huginn puts it in the slot with the rest of the recipe.

Other apps let you render a frame on the camera one look at a time. Huginn is the only one that runs a frame through your whole library in a single pass, so you shoot once and choose the look afterwards from real renders rather than a phone's approximation.

No other recipe app has anything here at all. Huginn gives you the day's light for where you are going, reminders before it starts, and a countdown on your Lock Screen.

Every other app's video recipes are settings to type into the camera by hand. Huginn was the first to create a video recipe on the phone and write it into a custom slot over Bluetooth, with nothing done on the camera. It ships in a later release; the capability is proven and dated.
